Grâce à Simonet Productions, un texte de Carole Fréchette, Jean et Béatrice, qui offre un «regard incisif et astucieux sur l'amour et les relations humaines», est en ce moment même et jusqu'au 12 juin à l'affiche d'un théâtre de Manhattan, le Theater For The New City (155, 1ère avenue, entre la 9e et la 10e rue). La pièce est donnée dans le même programme en français (par les Québécois Sofi Lambert et Jean Brassard) et en anglais (par Hélène Kuhn et Max van Bel).
Richaud Valls, metteur en scène: «We're offering back to back performances [of the play] so that the audience can enjoy the differences and similarities between both versions. English speaking viewers, who've just seen the play in English, will experience a whole new world in the French version. They might even believe for a second that they're bilingual (laughs).
