La longue liste des 40 artistes candidats au prix de Musique Polaris a été révélée. L'étape suivante pour le jury du prix est de parvenir à une liste plus courte de 10 artistes seulement. Le lauréat se verra récompenser le 19 septembre 2011 par une bourse de 30 000$.
